Hello, friends. My new “Not Quite Plaid” handwoven wool shawl is all finished! I began working on it last week:

This is woven in Harrisville Designs “Shetland” yarns. I used three colors: Silver Mist, Charcoal, and Aubergine. It has fringe on the ends and is just the right thing to take the edge off an early Spring chill.
I like this design so much that I decided to publish the pattern. After many hours learning about PDF file merging and inserting tables to Microsoft Word, my pattern is ready for instant download in my Etsy shop. Here is a sneak peek at the title page:
My hope is that weavers of nearly every ability, even very new weavers, can use this pattern and enjoy the weaving process, be inspired to continue to weave, and wear their very own handwoven wearable with pride. You can learn more about the pattern here.
Today I’m working on dressing the loom for some more “Double Orange Peel” table runners:
I have already started editing for my next pattern release. It may be a week or so before the next one is ready.
Thank you for reading and for supporting my efforts as an independent artisan.
Be well,
Kate K.
You are such a pro.
