Kate Kilgus is weaver residing in Harrisville, New Hampshire. She has been weaving for over twenty-five years, ever since taking an introductory weaving class in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She exhibits her work at select fine craft events throughout New Hampshire, including the League of NH Craftsmen’s Annual Fair at Mt. Sunapee. Kate is a juried member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, Fiber Division and the New Hampshire Art Association.

Kate’s awards include “Best in Weaving,” League of NH Craftsmen, August 2025 for “The Leaves Still Change,” seen here at the Art, Craft & Design Exhibition:

In November 2025, “Impressions of Cats and Snails” received first place at the 26th Annual Joan L. Dunfey Exhibition at the New Hampshire Art Association.

While rooted in traditional weaving techniques, the artist evokes an imaginative world through subtle color gradations and mirroring strategies. Using careful precision and thoughtful planning, Kate Kilgus’ Impressions of Cats and Snails transported me to new realms of possibility.”
