Save the dates!

I have some exciting news to share! The League of NH Craftsmen, the juried member fine craft organization of which I am a part, is holding its annual Summer Fair online this August. So from August 1-9, 2020, you can peruse the work and shop for fine craft right from the comfort of your own home.

While the “Virtual Fair“ is a substitute for the in-person Annual Summer Fair, I can think of several reasons to check it out:

1. No ticket fees! Woo!

2. Avoid hot, humid weather that can settle in during August.

3. Have your purchases shipped directly to you!

4. Get an inside look at the workspaces of many League members.

Since the League decided to try this new Fair model due to concerns and complications due to the coronavirus, I’ve been working hard at the loom and on my online Etsy shop. I’ve also been working on my photos. Here are some pics from my most recent photo taking session:

I believe that there will be over 130 League members participating in the Virtual Fair. While I will miss seeing my fellow League colleagues in person this year, I will take this opportunity to share some of the work my husband and I have selected for our own home over the past several years.

Sibel Alpaslan is a ceramicist. We were up in “Tent 1” for three years! Her work just makes me smile. I have a few of Sibel’s pieces in my kitchen. We use this piece for everything from maple syrup, salad dressing, and cream:

I hope you’ll check out more of Sibel’s work when the Virtual Fair begins in August. And I plan to share another member’s work on my next post, so stay tuned!

Until then, stay safe and well,

Kate K.
